We’ve been hearing rumors Microsoft was preparing to reveal a new handheld, possibly Zune-based, device and now it’s official: the Zune HD is real. Engadget has the first details on the Zune HD, which not-so-surprisingly takes some major cues from the iPhone and will feature a completely touch-based interface and a built-in web browser, this time based on the company’s own Internet Explorer software.
There’s little known about Zune HD’s hardware specifications, except that it’s 3.3-inches, features a 480 x 272 OLED capacitive touchscreen display, and contains both a built-in HD Radio receiver and HD output. Perhaps most surprising, however, is how Zune HD will integrate with Xbox 360 and its Xbox Live services.
Mum’s the word for the moment — Microsoft promises details at E3 — but the company says the currently far more robust Zune Marketplace will be replace the video marketplace currently featured on Xbox Live. While Microsoft isn’t saying so yet, this certainly opens the possibility for music purchase via Xbox Live.
But during the E3 Xbox 360 presentation Microsoft confirmed this rumor to be true. Let’s go to Jake Gaskill for more info.
In addition to the announcement that Xbox 360 will be getting Sky TV streaming support, and instant-on 1080p HD content, Microsoft also confirmed during its press conference that the Xbox Live Video Marketplace will be replaced by the Zune Marketplace. This announcement has been expected for a while, especially given that Microsoft recently revealed the new Zune HD device.
It seems that taking your HD content wherever you go is now finally a dream realized. Congrats Microsoft.
so there you go…a New Gaming/HD movie platform and a new/old service to go with it…I think I finally might like be a PC!
So on the June cover of XXL guess who will be making and appearance?????
you guessed it! Eminem, and according to XXL’s website he’s dishing about alot of personal topics. From his Drug abuse and His Friend’s (Rapper Proof) Death.
On His Drug Addiction
“I wasn’t ready mentally. I wasn’t ready to give up the drugs. I didn’t really think I had a problem. Basically, I went in, and I came out. I relapsed, and I spent the next three years struggling with it. Also, at that time, I felt like I wanted to pull back, because my drug problem had got so bad. I felt like, Maybe if I take a break, maybe this will help. I started to get into the producer role more… I can still be out there with my music, like with the Re-Up album, but I don’t have to be in the spotlight the whole time.”
On Proof’s Death
“Everyone felt his loss, from his kids, to his wife, to everyone. But, for some reason, in hindsight, the way I felt was almost like it happened to just me… Maybe at the time I was a little bit selfish with it. I think it kind of hit me so hard. It just blindsided me. I just went into such a dark place that, with everything, the drugs, my thoughts, everything. And the more drugs I consumed, and it was all depressants I was taking, the more depressed I became, the more self-loathing I became… By the way, I’m just now at the point where I’m better talking about it. It took me so long to get out of that place where I couldn’t even speak about it without crying or wanting to cry… Proof was the anchor. He was everything to D12. And not just the group-for me, personally, he was everything.”
I don’t know about you guys but I am glad Em is back(drug-free), Even though most of these pictures look a little bit over-photoshoped .
I definitely will be buying, XXL to see the rest of the article…and for the special edition Eminem Punisher Comic Book
