Detroit’s Newest Crop of Talent

So, I was cruising Detroit One day….and I came upon a dance studio. (that shall remain Nameless at the request of the owner) When I walked inside, I was greeted by a wealth of new talent…now you guys know me….I have a nose for all things music related. So I politely asked if I can interview them.  they said yes…I asked a few simple questions and their answers might surprise/underwhelm you.

Now I asked each person/group three questions.

This man is a Rap artist

He is a Street Reporter with music that can connect with a wide range of people.

He has no contact info…so if you wanted to hear his music…you would have to chase him down  and personally ask him to sing it to you…or give you a cd…

This young man sings R&B and Pop

Now when I asked the second question I uncovered ALOT about this artist. First off, He grew up here in Detroit, and He told me he was Born and Raised in the church. It was in church that this young songster learned how to play drums, Piano, Organ, and Keyboards.  So singing kinda came naturally for him…he continued to play instruments in  a marching band all throughout primary school.

When it came time for middle and High school however, a young  Vokals got mixed up in a little trouble however thanks to boxing he was able to turn that negativity  into positivity, and this ladies and gentlemen brought him back to the Church where he was discovered from solo he was singing… and the rest is history…

Blood Brother Rebels

Now this group does a mixture on Hip-Hop/Reggae/Pop

They’re two members of this Musical Group…which I later found out was a whole movement. You have Rebel Fresh, and Rebel Stunna, and when asked about their group I learned alot. I learned that the group name actually describes these two cousins relationship….they said they they are as close as brothers so that describes the Blood Brothers but the Rebels part is explained in thier music …and let me tell you…after a conversation with these two… your liable to want to hear what they are all about….

People I’m am tired this is the first School semester where I’m actually a little scared to go to class….cause the art work might be a little over my head…and besides that…I just found out that I might not get a paying job (at least not at first)  in my field….but such is the worries of any college grad…..
